Terms of Service
1. Who we are
The ecuedit.gr service ("EcuEdit", "we") is operated by [company legal name], [registered address], VAT no. [VAT number], tax office [tax office]. Contact: [email protected], [phone].
2. The service
EcuEdit is an online file service. You upload a read of your vehicle's engine control unit (ECU), choose one or more solutions, pay, and receive a modified file. Every file is processed by a technician. We do not sell hardware and we do not work on vehicles.
3. Your responsibilities
- You confirm that you own the vehicle and the file, or are authorised by the owner, and that the file is a complete and unmodified read of the ECU.
- Modified files are supplied for off-road and competition use only. You are solely responsible for how a modified file is used, and for complying with the laws that apply to you, including vehicle approval, roadworthiness and emissions rules. Using a modified file on a vehicle driven on public roads may be unlawful.
- Switching off a function or a diagnostic trouble code does not repair the underlying fault. Writing a file to an ECU always carries risk; you are responsible for keeping a backup of the original and for using suitable equipment.
- You must not upload files that contain malware or that you have no right to use. Uploads are scanned and may be rejected.
4. Orders and prices
Prices are shown per solution before checkout and include any applicable VAT unless stated otherwise. The price of your order is the total shown at checkout. A contract is formed when your payment is completed.
5. Payment
Payment is taken in advance at checkout through Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Processing starts only after the payment is confirmed.
6. Delivery
Files are processed by a technician after payment, usually within a few hours on working days; you receive an email with a download link when your file is ready. Files stay available for download for 7 days after delivery, after which they are deleted from our servers.
7. Refunds
- If we cannot process your file, the order is cancelled and your payment is refunded in full.
- If a delivered file does not work as described, tell us within 7 days. We will correct it or, if that is not possible, refund you.
- Because each file is prepared to your individual specification and supplied as digital content, the statutory right of withdrawal ends once processing has started with your consent, which you give at checkout. Your rights under points above are not affected.
8. Liability
We prepare files with care, but we cannot control how they are written to the ECU or how the vehicle is used afterwards. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for an order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect damage, loss of use, or damage caused by incorrect reading or writing of files, unsuitable equipment, or use contrary to section 3. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

We process your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Greek law. Disputes are subject to the courts of [city], without prejudice to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence. Consumers may also contact the Hellenic Consumer Ombudsman (synigoroskatanaloti.gr).
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The version in force when you place an order applies to that order.
