NOx sensor monitoring: information for workshops preparing a NOx file request.
What to include in your request
Include the NOx fault codes and identify whether they refer to the upstream or downstream sensor. Availability must be checked against the ECU read and software identification.
Check compatibility first
Use the ECU support list to find the relevant service and ECU family. A listed ECU family is a starting point; the exact hardware and software version still needs to match the requested solution.
File and diagnostic information
- Vehicle make, model, year and engine.
- ECU manufacturer, model, hardware and software identifiers where available.
- The original read, reading tool and read method.
- Diagnostic codes, symptoms and a clear description of the requested work.
