What to include in your request
Identify the engine, ECU and sensor-related codes. State which sensor or monitoring function the request concerns so that it can be assessed against the correct software version.
Check compatibility first
Use the ECU support list to find the relevant service and ECU family. A listed ECU family is a starting point; the exact hardware and software version still needs to match the requested solution.
File and diagnostic information
- Vehicle make, model, year and engine.
- ECU manufacturer, model, hardware and software identifiers where available.
- The original read, reading tool and read method.
- Diagnostic codes, symptoms and a clear description of the requested work.
